This wine has great poise – a seamless balance of fruit, oak and acidity. Creamy in texture with hints of leesy yeast and barrel-aged components. Notes of almonds and dried apricots show on the palate and the mellow oak is well integrated with the citrus and white stone-fruit characters. Underpinning the lovely soft mouth feel is a backbone of crisp minerality. 25% of the wine went through malolactic fermentation, adding butterscotch to the overall depth of flavour. A stylish and classy wine, best enjoyed from 2010 to 2013.
